* Spring Acreage Certification - Work with Your County Office Now: Nebraska FSA County Offices are working with customers to complete spring acreage certification. Farmers can help County Offices with this process by ensuring they are communicating with their office to complete this process by the July 15 deadline. If you don't already have a certification appointment on the calendar, please contact your office as soon as possible to schedule one.
* County Committee Election Season: FSA County Committees play a critical role in the functioning of local FSA offices. These committees are comprised of local producers elected by local producers, and election season is under way with nominations being accepted at County Offices now through Aug. 1. * FSA Drought Resources: Nebraska FSA presented on FSA drought resources for livestock producers as part of a University of Nebraska-Extension webinar called Drought Prep Program for Cattle Producers. Folks can view the recording of this webinar at this link. Click on the links here to see whether your county has triggered for: the Livestock Forage Disaster Program or the Emergency Assistance for Livestock, Honeybees and Farm-raised Fish Program.
* Emergency Commodity Assistance Program: County FSA offices across Nebraska are accepting applications for the Emergency Commodity Assistance Program (ECAP), a program designed to help producers mitigate the impacts of rising input costs and declining commodity prices.
