Calculate ECAP Payments

For the Emergency Commodity Assistance Program

The ECAP calculator can be used to compute an estimated payment amount for producers that apply for ECAP. Information from the FSA-63 ECAP application mailed from FSA includes the eligible commodity acreage, based on the applicant’s share interest, for all farms nationwide and can be used to populate the acres in the ECAP calculator.  Applicants can also refer to their FSA-578, Report of Acreage, for the 2024 crop year; however, acres will need to be adjusted to reflect the producer’s share interest in the commodity acreage. A copy of the information displayed on the calculator can be printed by clicking on the “Download PDF” button. To calculate the payment amount, enter the following acres for each commodity.

  • Commodity – Represents the eligible commodities for the ECAP program.
  • 2024 Eligible Planted Acres – The number of planted acres intended for harvest, grazing, or silage for all farms nationwide, based only on the applicant’s share interest, for the applicable commodity. The number of planted acres is pre-populated on the FSA-63 ECAP form, in Part B, Item 11, mailed by FSA. The following are examples of how the acres were determined for the FSA-63 ECAP form or how producers can determine their acres when referring to their FSA-578, Report of Acreage, filed for the 2024 crop year.
