USDA Announces Availability of Low-Interest Emergency Physical Loss Loans for Producers Affected by Severe Storms, Straight-line Winds, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides in Six Illinois Counties

Low-interest emergency physical loss loans through the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) can help producers repair or replace damaged or destroyed physical property essential to the success of the agricultural operation, including livestock losses.  Examples of property commonly affected include essential farm buildings, fixtures to real estate, equipment, livestock, perennial crops, fruit and nut bearing trees, and harvested or stored crops and hay.

Impacted Area: Illinois

Presidential Major Disaster Notification:  M4860, Amendments 3, 4, and 5

Triggering Disaster: Severe Storms, Straight-line Winds, Flooding, Landslides, and Mudslides impacting IL which occurred on February 14, 2025, and continuing.

 Application Deadline: November 4, 2025 (Alexander/Pulaski) and November 10, 2025 (Gallatin/Hardin/Pope)

 Primary Counties Eligible: 
Kentucky: Adair, Bell, Cumberland, Elliott, Hancock, Knox, Livingston, McLean, Morgan and Union Counties

Contiguous Counties Also Eligible: 
Illinois: Alexander, Gallatin, Hardin, Massac, Pope and Pulaski Counties
