Jackson, Martin, Nobles, and Rock Counties in Minnesota Eligible as Contiguous

Physical loss loans through the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) can help producers repair or replace damaged or destroyed physical property essential to the success of the agricultural operation, including livestock losses. Examples of property commonly affected include essential farm buildings, fixtures to real estate, equipment, livestock, perennial crops, fruit and nut bearing trees, and harvested or stored crops and hay.

Impacted Area: Iowa

Triggering Disaster: Flooding occurring June 1, 2024, and continuing.

Application Deadline: March 24, 2025

Primary Counties Eligible: Buena Vista, Cherokee, Clay, Dickinson, Dubuque, Emmet, Lyon, Monona, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, Pottawattamie, Van Buren.

Contiguous Counties Also Eligible:

Iowa: Calhoun, Cass, Clayton, Crawford, Davis, Delaware, Harrison, Henry, Humboldt, Ida, Jackson, Jefferson, Jones, Kossuth, Lee, Mills, Montgomery, Pocahontas, Sac, Shelby, Sioux, Wapello, Woodbury.

Illinois: Jo Daviess

Minnesota: Jackson, Martin, Nobles, Rock

Missouri: Clark, Scotland

Nebraska: Burt, Douglas, Sarpy, Thurston, Washington

South Dakota: Lincoln, Minnehaha, Union

Wisconsin: Grant
