Detailed Data Underlying the AFIDA Annual Reports
As directed by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023, FSA is supplementing the annual Agricultural Foreign Investment Disclosure Act of 1978 (AFIDA) reports to Congress with searchable spreadsheets detailing foreign agricultural land ownership. The annual report and searchable spreadsheets containing the 2022 and 2023 detailed data are now available.
Disclaimer: The detailed data may contain inaccuracies for several reasons, such as typographical errors caused when data from hard copy paper filings are manually entered into the AFIDA database. FSA intends to update the detailed data twice a year based upon communications it receives from FSA-153 filers regarding inaccuracies in their company names, foreign country affiliations, acreage holdings, and other information. FSA will not be updating historical spreadsheets. Consequently, the data may not always match the aggregate data contained in reports submitted by FSA to Congress.
