WASHINGTON, July 9, 2020 – Today, U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced an initial list of additional commodities that have been added to the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP), and that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) made other adjustments to the program based on comments received from agricultural producers and organizations and review of market data. Producers will be able to submit applications that include these commodities on Monday, July 13, 2020.

$3 Million Allocated to Help Offset Transporting Costs for Farmers and Ranchers Outside the Contiguous U.S.

PALMER, Alaska, July 11, 2022 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) in Alaska opened enrollment today for the Reimbursement Transportation Cost Payment Program (RTCP), which has increased its available funding to $3 million for fiscal year 2022. The enrollment period begins July 11 and will run through Sept. 2.

Washington, D.C., Oct. 26, 2020 – U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue today announced that in the first month of the application period, the USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) approved more than $7 billion in payments to producers in the second round of the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program. CFAP 2 provides agricultural producers with financial assistance to help absorb some of the increased marketing costs associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lexington, Kentucky, July 12, 2022 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is accepting offers for more than 3.1 million acres from agricultural producers and private landowners through this year’s Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) Grassland Signup, the highest in history. The signup’s results include nearly 2,000 acres in Kentucky.
