USDA Invests $10 Million in Taxpayer Education for Farmers

Warwick, RI, Aug. 5, 2022 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing in education efforts for farmers, including those who are new to farming or who have been historically underserved by USDA programs. USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) is investing $10 million for agriculture-oriented taxpayer education which helps with access to land for beginning and socially disadvantaged farmers.

Deadline Approaching for USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program

Application Deadline is Sept. 11

WASHINGTON, Aug. 28, 2020 –U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) reminds farmers and ranchers that the deadline to apply for the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) is Sept. 11, 2020. This program provides direct relief to producers who faced price declines and additional marketing costs due to COVID-19.

USDA Invests $5.2 Million in 17 Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production Projects 

WASHINGTON, July 1, 2024 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing $5.2 million in 17 new grants that support urban agriculture and innovative production. Grant recipients, including Friends of the Pittsburgh Urban Forest in Pennsylvania, will increase food production and access in economically distressed communities, provide job training and education, and allow partners to develop business plans and zoning proposals.
