USDA Updates Form Requirement for Conservation Program Eligibility Determination

Producers and landowners participating or applying for certain NRCS conservation programs must complete form CCC-902, Farm Operating Plan.

USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) is informing producers and landowners that they must have form CCC-902, the Farm Operating Plan form on file with USDA and receive a determination of eligibility if they are participating or applying to participate in certain NRCS conservation programs.

USDA Offers Disaster Assistance to Farmers and Livestock Producers in Louisiana Impacted by Recent Winter Storms

Alexandria, LA, Feb. 26, 2021 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) provides technical and financial assistance to help Louisiana farmers and livestock producers recover from damages brought on by winter storms Uri and Viola. Agricultural producers are encouraged to contact their local USDA Service Center to learn about the programs available to help them recover from crop, land, infrastructure, and livestock losses.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 26, 2023 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is making available up to $7.5 million for grants through its Office of Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production (OUAIP). The competitive grants will support the development of urban agriculture and innovative production projects through two categories, Planning Projects and Implementation Projects. USDA will accept applications on Grants.gov until 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on March 27, 2023.

USDA Extends Application Deadline for the Quality Loss Adjustment Program

STILLWATER, Oklahoma, March 5, 2021 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is extending the deadline from March 5 to April 9 for agricultural producers to apply for the Quality Loss Adjustment (QLA) Program because of recent winter storms and some clarifications to program rules. This program assists producers, including those here in Oklahoma who suffered crop quality losses due to qualifying 2018 and 2019 natural disasters.

USDA Designates 62 Louisiana Counties as a Primary Natural Disaster Area Six Texas Counties Also Eligible for Assistance

This Secretarial natural disaster designation allows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans. Emergency loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts.
