COLLEGE STATION, Texas, January 25, 2024 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is investing approximately $11.5 million in 38 cooperative agreements that support innovative, scalable waste management plans to reduce and divert food waste from landfills. This includes one project in Texas.

USDA Encourages Producers to Enroll Grasslands into Special Conservation Reserve Program Signup

Producers Must Apply by May 13  

LINCOLN, Nebraska, March 31, 2022 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) encourages producers and landowners to enroll in the Grassland Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) starting next week through May 13, 2022. Grassland CRP provides a unique opportunity for farmers, ranchers, and agricultural landowners to keep land in agricultural production and supplement their income while improving their soils and permanent grass cover.  

Montana FSA: USDA Announces Distress Loans for Crop Producers Unable to Find Adequate Storage in Cascade and Liberty counties

BOZEMAN, Montana, Aug. 10, 2020 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Montana Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Mike Foster today announced the availability of distress loans for crop producers in Cascade and Liberty counties. Previously, Chouteau County was approved for 2020 distress loans.
