Federal Emergency Management Agency Designates New Hampshire as Primary Natural Disaster Areas Due to Severe Storm and Flooding

This Presidential disaster declaration allows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans. Emergency loans can be used to meet various recovery needs including the replacement of essential items such as equipment or livestock, reorganization of a farming operation, or to refinance certain debts.

USDA Now Accepting Applications for Available Funds to Help Cover Organic Certification Costs

INDIANAPOLIS, May 16, 2024 – Through the Organic Certification Cost Share Program (OCCSP), USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) will cover up to 75% of organic certification costs at a maximum of $750 per certification category. FSA is now accepting applications, and organic producers and handlers should apply for OCCSP by the Oct. 31, 2024, deadline for eligible expenses incurred from Oct. 1, 2023, to Sept. 30, 2024. FSA will issue payments as applications are received and approved.  

USDA Announces Grants for Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production

USDA Announces Payments for 2020 Reimbursement Transportation Cost Payment Program

GAINESVILLE, Fla., May 27, 2021 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) today announced that fiscal year 2020 payments for the Reimbursement Transportation Cost Payment Program (RTCP) will begin on May 28, 2020. The RTCP will help eligible farmers and ranchers outside the contiguous U.S., including those in the Caribbean, offset a portion of the cost of transporting agricultural products over long distances.

Kauai County Farm Service Agency Is Accepting Emergency Conservation Program Applications

(LIHUE, Hawaii), May 22, 2019 – U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director CED Calvin Threat today announced that Kauai County is accepting applications for the Emergency Conservation Program (ECP) to address damages from the April 2024 Kona storm. ECP signup begins today and will end on July 22, 2024.
