First Wave of Payments Based on Crop Insurance Data
GAINESVILLE, Fla., March 14, 2024 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) today announced nearly $3.9 million will be issued to 1,134 producers through the 2023 Reimbursement Transportation Cost Payment (RTCP) program beginning on March 14, 2024. The RTCP reimburses eligible farmers and ranchers outside the contiguous U.S., including those in the Caribbean, for a portion of the cost of transporting agricultural products or inputs used to produce an agricultural commodity over long distances.

WASHINGTON, May 16, 2022 – The U. S Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced that commodity and specialty crop producers impacted by natural disaster events in 2020 and 2021 will soon begin receiving emergency relief payments totaling approximately $6 billion through the Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) new Emergency Relief Program (ERP) to offset crop yield and value losses.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Francisco Sánchez Jr., associate administrator for the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the Small Business Administration, today reminded small nonfarm businesses in 15 Montana counties and neighboring counties in Idaho of the May 6, 2024, deadline to apply for an SBA federal disaster loan for economic injury.
