FSA Now Taking Farm Storage Facility Loan Applications

SAINT PAUL, MN, November 12, 2020 — FSA’s Farm Storage Facility Loan (FSFL) program provides low-interest financing to producers to build or upgrade storage facilities and to purchase portable (new or used) structures, equipment and storage and handling trucks.

USDA Launches Loan Assistance Tool to Enhance Equity and Customer Service

SPRINGFIELD, Illinois, October 27, 2022 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) launched a new online tool to help farmers and ranchers better navigate the farm loan application process.  This uniform application process will help to ensure all farm loan applicants receive equal support and have a consistent customer experience with USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA) regardless of their individual circumstances.

Conservation Reserve Program General Signup Begins Today and Ends February 12

CASPER, WY, Jan. 4, 2021 – Agricultural producers and private landowners interested in the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) can sign up for the popular program beginning today, Jan. 4, 2021, until Feb. 12, 2021. The competitive program, administered by USDA’s Farm Service Agency (FSA), provides annual rental payments for land devoted to conservation purposes.

This Presidential disaster declaration allows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans.

USDA Establishing Urban County Committee in Kansas City and Increasing Staffing for St. Louis Urban Service Center

COLUMBIA, MO, July 28, 2023 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is establishing an urban county committee in Kansas City as well as increasing staffing at the St. Louis Urban Service Center, both part of a broader effort to support urban agriculture in Missouri. With its new urban county committee, Kansas City joins 26 other cities with a committee focused on delivery of USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) programs to urban producers. 

USDA Announces Quality Loss Assistance Now Available for Eligible Producers Affected by 2018, 2019 Natural Disasters

WASHINGTON, Jan. 5, 2021 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) today announced that signup for the Quality Loss Adjustment (QLA) Program will begin Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. Funded by the Further Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2020, this new program provides assistance to producers who suffered eligible crop quality losses due to natural disasters occurring in 2018 and 2019. The deadline to apply for QLA is Friday, March 5, 2021.
